I started my website in August 2025
Bismillah.
I was praying to Allah to help me with my business.
Until today, I haven’t spent a single dollar on paid ads.
People ask me why.
Because I chose to spend that budget on charity.
10% of every transaction on kijir.com goes to charity.
Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261):
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah
is like a grain that grows 7 ears,
each ear bearing a 100 grains.
And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.”
I wanted to apply this ayah as a business strategy, not just recite it.
Yes, I know,
In 2026, making money through ads is common.
Everyone will disagree with me.
But I keep asking myself one question:
If Prophet Muhammad ﷺ were alive today,
running a business in 2026,
Would he spend on paid ads,
or would he spend on charity?
That question keeps me aligned.
That question keeps me calm.
